ANGLIA REGION VICE CHAIRMAN

Unfortunately, Paul did not get the above position on the Anglia Region.

We would, however, like to thank all the South Essex members that attended the rally and for those that came up to Witchford to cast their votes, along with anyone else. We really did appreciate it.

We would also like to congratulate John Kent from Mid Anglia and wish him all the best in his new role.

THE 200 CLUB DRAW NOVEMBER RESULTS

The second draw of the re-launched 200 Club took place at 'The Generation Game' rally.

Number 66 was the first number drawn and the owner will receive a cheque for £20

Number 80 was the second number drawn and the owner will receive a cheque for £10

Number 23 was the third number drawn and the owner will receive a cheque for £5

Congratulations to them all and the next draw will take place on the Christmas Party Time rally.

There are less than 20 numbers still left, so don't miss out and contact Phil Goldspink before it is too late.


NATIONAL FOLLOW ON RALLY 2019

NEEDED - Rally Marshals to run National Follow-On Rally. Site booked, approx 25 miles from Radley Hall from 28 May - 4th June. Contact David Mills


DECEMBER NEWS LETTER

The deadline for items for the Christmas Newsletter is 4th December 2018. These should be sent to Glen Harper who has kindly volunteered to carry on producing this even though he is not on Committee anymore. Jean Weller (Webmaster) is Press Liaison between Glen and Committee but your contributions to the newsletter are much appreciated and should be sent to Glen on harper1@sky.com. HOT 'N' TASTY - 16th - 18th November 2018

Hi Folks, there are just 3 places left at the Hot "N" Tasty rally being held at WHITE RODING Sports Club, Marks Hall Lane, White Roding, Essex CM6 1RS. 16th through to 18th November 2018. The Lovely hall will be open on Friday evening as well as most of the day on Saturday where you will be able to enjoy some tea or coffee and perhaps on Saturday afternoon dress up your dining table.

CHINESE NEW YEAR

Please be aware that the dates of this rally are the 1st - 3rd February 2019 and not as stated in the rally book. The booking date is now the 19th December 2018. All other details remain the same.


MACMILLAN CHARITY

Movie goers you never cease to amaze me. I was overwhelmed with the £120 we raised for Macmillan this year. My heartfelt thanks to you all.

CHAIRMAN'S CHARITY

I am pleased to advise you, that following last weeks AGM, that the chosen Chairman's Charity to receive our fundraising for 2018/19 is the Essex Air Ambulance.

If marshals running rallies during this Charity year would like to raise funds by running raffles etc, it would be appreciated and after our Committee meeting next week, I will let you know who the Charity Officer will be.

CHARITY CHINESE MEAL

After last years successful Chinese Charity meal another evening has been booked at Zen City, Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff on Sea, SS0 7EW on Thursday 22nd November 2018.  Members, family and friends are welcome to join us for an all you can eat meal for £16 per head, drinks are not included.

There will be a raffle held during the evening with proceeds going to the Chairman's Charity, the Essex Air Ambulance.

Please be advised that FM TAGS are on a shut down from 17th - 29th October 2018. Please be aware of this when ordering plaques.

ADVERTISERS FOR THE 2019 RALLY BOOK

Should anyone know someone that would like to advertise in the 2019 rally book, please contact Paul Maran.

We are down on the adverts this year after trying desperately to get some new contacts.

Please remember that the money earned from our advertisers pays towards the printing of the rally book and helps to keep the cost down.


CHAIRMAN'S CHARITY

It was decided at last years AGM to choose just 1 charity to benefit from fundraising in the Chairman's Charity year..

As you can imagine it will be a very hard decision for the Committee to choose just 1 charity from all the requests by members.

It was discussed at the forum at Programme Presentation and on a show of hands it was decided that the Committee could choose the Charity, but that I would bring up the subject at this years AGM.

In our September meeting 4 charities were chosen (we have tried to find a wide range of these, all well deserving) They are

1) Essex Air Ambulance

2) HARP for homeless people in Southend

3) St Lukes Hospice

4) Chigwell Riding Trust (for special needs)

There will be a show of hands as to which one of these 4 you wish to support at the AGM, so to register your choice we will see you on Sunday. (9.15am to register and 10am AGM starts)

Hi All

After a lot of consideration, I have decided to put my name forward at the Anglia Region AGM for the position of Vice Chairman.

I would appreciate your votes there at 11am on 18th November 2018 at Witchford Village Hall, Ely, Cambridgeshire.

At the moment, I am up against John Kent from Mid Anglia, so I would appreciate as many of you as possible giving me your support on the day. There is an invite rally running there that weekend as well, please see page 64 in our Rally Programme.

It would be great if I have this opportunity as I will put my heart and sole into the job, so please give me your support.

CHRISTMAS RALLY (THE FEAST OF FUN-DER-SLEIGH):

Due to building works at The Deanes School the venue for this rally has been changed to The King Edmund School, Vaughan Close, Rochford, Essex, SS4 1TL. The name of the Rally has also changed to "Reindeers Rumble in Rochford."

All other details remain the same and there is just 1 space available.


RELAUNCH OF THE 200 CLUB

The 200 Club is being re-launched at the Hunstanton Hacienda rally for the Chairman's charity year.

There will be three prizes each month of £20, £10 and £5.
